East German illustrated commemorative envelope for the Drushba-Trasse youth pipeline project. 20pf stamp showing pipeline construction, with a Berlin Palast der Republik special cancellation dated 5 October 1978. The stamp was issued on 3 October, so this is a commemorative cover rather than an FDC. Unaddressed. Actual item shown front and back; visible brown stain on front, small blue ink mark at the lower edge, ageing and pencil notes.
