East German Leipzig Spring Fair 1979 illustrated commemorative envelope with 10pf Max-Klinger-Haus and 25pf horizontal boring and milling machine stamps. Circular Kirchberg postal cancellation, with most of the date obscured by the stamps; no first-day claim is made. Blue cachet depicting the clock of Leipzig's Old Town Hall. Addressed to Cologne with sender details on reverse. Actual item shown front and back; ageing, creases, marks and pencil annotations visible.
