The French circulated postcard shown in the image is offered for sale. Depiction: The viaduct of the Pont de Montange, also known as the Pont des Pierres, near Bellegarde, above the Valserine. According to the text on the front, the bridge is 64 metres high and 80 metres wide. Route: Bellegarde–Chavornay. Stamp: République Française, 10 centimes, a red Semeuse-type stamp featuring a female figure. Postmark: Bellegarde; a circular French postal cancellation. Collector examination is required, as this stamp may exist in a valuable variety; it must be examined separately on the basis of its perforation, watermark, paper, colour and overprint.
