DDR 1982 merchant fleet cover to Cologne - Frieden Brocken Berlin ships
East German merchant fleet illustrated commemorative envelope with 5pf MS Frieden, 15pf MS Brocken and 35pf MS Berlin - Hauptstadt der DDR stamps. Kirchberg circular postal cancellation in July 1982; parts of the date are obscured. The stamps were issued on 22 June, so this is a later commemorative cover rather than an FDC. Embossed world map cachet, addressed to Cologne with sender details on reverse. Actual item photographed front and back; ageing, brown marks near the upper edge, creases and other wear visible.
