East German Heimische Singvoegel illustrated commemorative envelope bearing all six 1979 songbird stamps: 5pf chaffinch, 10pf nuthatch, 20pf robin, 25pf common rosefinch, 35pf blue tit and 50pf linnet. Berlin 1085 special cancellations dated 23 January 1979. Stamp issue date 9 January, so this is a commemorative cover rather than an FDC. Marsh tit cachet. Unaddressed. Actual item photographed front and back; ageing, creases, marks and pencil note visible.
